What is this? Stay tuned to find out! (It begins…)
Debated on whether I would add this or not, but ultimately, decided it wouldn't break pacing to add it in.
This is the full-size page.

My god it's finally happening

After 4 long years of waiting, ranger is making a comic

I'm looking forward to reading this. :) Can't wait for the first page.

Honestly, the first page isn't too special, either artistically (I was still learning; it took me until about page 3 to fully mature art-wise) or content-wise.

It'll be the second page to look forward to.

Cute character design!

The design behind Ruby was made between three sources: things I own or wish I owned, stereotypical Japanese superhero clothes, and stereotypical western superhero clothes.

Thus, sneakers (western) with knee-high socks (both), a skirt (eastern), hoodie (mostly western), domino mask (mostly western), and the fingerless gloves (mostly western).

Interesting mix of western superhero and Japanese magical girl designs. I'll have to follow this.

I really love Ruby's design, though there's good reason I put a lot of attention into her outfit in particular.

You will be seeing hybridized aesthetics in other characters, but she's the one it's most evident in.

I have to agree with others, that's wonderful character design! Her outfit is super functional and sexy, which is why I love it, because sometimes when I see female superheroes out there, I can't help but to feel like their outfits might be uncomfortable.

You'll get some of this exposition as the series progresses (particularly episode 3), but one thing about the heroes is that they get to choose what their outfit is.

And our titular Red Hood Rider, here, chose an outfit which was basically things she already owned, thrown together.

Now, that's a cool bow if I ever seen one!

One thing about the early page though...I didn't actually write down how I made it look that way. :P

So on future pages, I had to try and get it back to being like this. Didn't quite manage it, but what I did manage was to make sure that new setting would be standardized.
